BCTG Avocats assisted Ardian during the acquisition of Akuo in all aspects of Projects/Energy of the group’s French activity.

Ardian, one of the world leaders in private investment, has acquired Akuo, a company founded in 2007. Akuo is a major player in the production of renewable energy. As a specialist in wind power, photovoltaics and storage, Akuo develops local energy sources that contribute to the objectives of decarbonization and energy independence. Ardian’s financial support is intended to assist Akuo in its next phase of growth by capitalizing on the company’s fundamentals.

The BCTG team that worked on the Projects/Energy aspects of the activity in France was made up of Paul Elfassi, Public Business Law partner, Diane Mouratoglou and Catherine Dupuy-Burin des Roziers, Private Law/Energy partners Nelsie Bergès and Clothilde Hennequin, counsels Gaspard Terray and Thibaut Magerman, associates.

This deal once again illustrates the ability of the BCTG Avocats teams to work on high-profile cases alongside leaders in the renewable energy and environment sector.

The Weil Gotshal & Manges firm also provided their respective expertise, with the PLMJ teams working on the projects/energy aspects in Portugal and the Hogan Lovells teams working on activity outside France and Portugal.
