Paul Elfassi, Partner in the Energy Practice Group, participated in an online conference organized by the Franco-German Office for Energy Transition (OFATE) on November 2 and 3, 2021 on the topic: Onshore wind power and authorization procedures in France and Germany: regulatory framework, issues and prospects.
He moderated a round table discussion on the topic: “Main appeals against wind power project authorizations in France: main applicants, reasons given and current case law”.
Other Franco-German exchanges focused on the following questions:
- What is the regulatory framework for the authorization of wind power projects in France and Germany?
- How to include the interests of civil and military aviation in the framework of authorization procedures?
- How can biodiversity be effectively taken into account in the framework of these procedures?
- How to optimize and accelerate the authorization procedures?
Nearly 150 people participated in this online conference.
