INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY: TRADEMARKS AND DESIGNS (Tier 2)

At BCTG Avocats, practice head Gaëlle Bloret-Pucci leads on advisory and contentious work across a broad array of sectors, with retail sports, fashion, food, life sciences, pharmaceuticals and software all core components of the practice’s caseload. Bloret-Pucci’s complementary expertise in unfair competition law, parasitism issues and marketing matters is particularly advantageous for retail and sports clients. A member of “Alliance for Nike”, an ad hoc network of law firms based in EMEA that assist the client, as well as a member of a global alliance of law firms that act for G-STAR, the French practice also is well versed in international matters.

ENERGY (Tier 2)

BCTG Avocats stands out for its high-level public and environment law permit expertise in relation to renewable energy projects. Paul Elfassi and counsel Nelsie Bergès are the key specialists and are advising and defending several permits in courts in high-stake disputes pertaining to many of the country’s largest offshore wind projects. The duo’s public law expertise is complemented by the solid corporate expertise of Catherine Dupuy-Burin des Roziers, Diane Mouratoglou and Alain de Rougé who advise on mid-sized wind, solar, hydrogen, biomass and corporate PPA projects in France. The practice also handles some work abroad and advises on brownfield and corporate transactions.

ADMINISTRATIVE AND PUBLIC LAW (Tier 4)

BCTG Avocats excels at advising and defending urban planning and environment law permits pertaining to large scale onshore and offshore wind projects in France. The firm is currently handling high-stakes related litigation in relation to several of France’s largest renewable energy projects. Headed by Paul Elfassi, the team also has strong regulatory law expertise, especially in the renewables energy sector. Finally, the practice also has good public law expertise, with advisory and contentious work in relation to various public procurement contracts key parts of the caseload, including port, hospital and waste treatment infrastructure contracts. Counsel Nelsie Bergès is also involved.

HEALTHCARE AND LIFE SCIENCES (Tier 3)

BCTG Avocats is the adviser of choice for several healthcare generics companies, manufacturers and cosmetics labels, which benefit from the firm’s broad expertise, covering production all the way through to sales. Practice head Hugues Villey-Desmeserets has a strong track record of advising on the establishment of commercial policies, and is experienced in representing clients before various professional associations, the French Competition Authority and the General Directorate for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control (DGCCRF).
