BCTG Avocats promotes Clothilde Hennequin to counsel status to strengthen its Energy division and further develop its Compliance offering.

Clothilde Hennequin joined the Energy practice headed by Paul Elfassi, Diane Mouratoglou and Catherine Dupuy Burin des Roziers in 2017, working alongside them for leading players in the energy sector, both large groups and SMEs, both French and international. She is involved in all contractual aspects of their activities.

In response to growing demand from the firm’s clients, and with a particular interest in all matters relating to ethics, compliance and the prevention of reputational risks, Clothilde has taken degree courses at the Université Paris Dauphine-PSL (2022) and the Université Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (2023) to underpin her expertise in compliance. In this way, she meets the needs of the firm’s clients with regard to their obligations under the Sapin II law and their duty of vigilance and the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism (LCB-FT). More generally, she assists them in identifying and preventing the risks to which companies and their managers may be personally exposed in their relations with the various stakeholders likely to be involved in one of their projects, including public bodies.

“Clothilde’s appointment perfectly represents our firm’s philosophy. We are delighted to have been able to enable her to develop new skills in line with our customers’ needs”, emphasizes Diane Mouratoglou.

The arrival of a new associate in July, who will join the team and work in part on compliance issues alongside Clothilde, is also part of this drive to strengthen BCTG’s compliance offering in order to meet the growing needs of the firm’s clients on all compliance issues and enable them to benefit from an ever more “full service” offering from BCTG.
