Béatrice Espesson – Vergeat

Béatrice Espesson-Vergeat has been a lawyer specializing in healthcare business law for 25 years. For some fifteen years, she worked independently with human and animal health industries, and with healthcare establishments. She then turned her attention to supporting legal teams dedicated to the healthcare sector within several law firms.
Béatrice joined BCTG Avocats to help develop the regulatory side of the Life Sciences department.
Béatrice specializes in regulatory issues arising during the product lifecycle, including health product qualification strategies, clinical trials, market access, supply chain and distribution channels. She is involved in relations between laboratories and healthcare players (authorities, healthcare establishments, professionals, digital service providers), as well as in the use of healthcare data, and the integration of artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector.
Béatrice Espesson-Vergeat is University Professor of Private Law and Criminal Sciences. At Jean Monnet University, she heads a “Business-Health Law” master’s apprenticeship recognized in the healthcare world, which she created within the law faculty. Her research and work focuses on the coordination of European business and health law, integrating the digital dimension in healthcare. She supervises thesis work on these subjects, and produces numerous publications.
