BCTG Avocats advised the French start-up Lumiheart in the creation and launch of its first product Lumibowl, figurines connected via NFC technology.

Lumibowl is a collection of figurines designed and marketed by Lumiheart, connected via NFC (Near Field Communication) thanks to a free application on smartphone. Lumibowl is a decorative object allowing access to specific contents (gifts, surprises…) that can evolve over time and whose design is inspired by the world of video games, sports or superheroes. Each Lumibowl has a unique code (lumicode) which is both its identity card and its lifetime collection number.

Founded in 2019 by Julien Goulois, Lumiheart is a 100% French start-up that offers an innovative ex-perience, carried by strong brands in entertainment and sports, whose ambition is to become the leader of the collectibles market. After Lumibowl, the company is already planning to add two other levels of collections to this first range: e-bowls and NFT bowls.

In keeping with its culture of innovation, it is only natural that a multidisciplinary team from BCTG Avocats has accompanied the start-up since its creation and advised it on all of its legal issues related to the design, development and launch of Lumibowl. The firm has been involved in the following matters

  • Competition / Distribution with François Dauba, Partner and Chloë Ramone, Lawyer for commercial contracts
  • M&A / Private Equity with Cyprien Dufournier, Counsel and Pierre de Kerpoisson, Attorney for the fund raising
  • IT / Data with Caroline Goupil, Partner and Manon Zaoui, Lawyer for RGPD issues and IT contracts
  • Intellectual Property with Gaëlle Bloret-Pucci, Partner, Pauline de Drée, Senior Counsel and Jessica Sandowski, Counsel for patent protection and licensing
