BCTG Avocats appoints Cyprien Dufournier as partner and confirms its ambition for its Corporate Department.

Seven years after joining the firm as an associate, and two years after his appointment as counsel, Cyprien Dufournier has been promoted to partner in the firm’s Corporate Department. This promotion reflects the firm’s commitment to strengthening this strategic department, headed by Séverin Kullmann, Catherine Dupuy Burin des Roziers, Augustin Nicolle and Clément Sabatier.

Cyprien Dufournier’s practice focuses on corporate law and mergers & acquisitions, with a particular emphasis on venture capital, private equity and growth capital transactions for entrepreneurs, mainly in the new technologies sector. He assists clients with structuring and growth operations aimed at developing their business (fund-raising, bridges), restructuring, external growth operations and divestments. He has developed a Greentech practice, working closely with BCTG’s Energy practice.

Cyprien Dufournier’s appointment is in line with the firm’s ambition to strengthen its presence in this ecosystem, working with promising start-ups and investment funds specializing in venture capital. In this respect, Cyprien is, along with Augustin Nicolle, a driving force behind several partnerships initiated in recent years with major players in the sector, in particular France Digitale and Réseau Entreprendre Paris.

With this appointment, BCTG Avocats proves its ability to support the careers of its associates and affirms its positioning as a full-service firm organized around structuring offerings, particularly in Corporate and Energy, ever more capable of serving the full range of its clients’ needs.

“I’m very proud of this appointment, which recognizes my commitment to the firm over the past seven years. Our ambition is to continue our work with entrepreneurs and to become a first-rate partner, capable of understanding their business issues, responding to their requests and adapting to their constraints”, explains Cyprien Dufournier.

“Cyprien’s association is a real success for BCTG, which once again demonstrates its ability to offer its employees and counsels genuine prospects for development. The firm’s development is thus in line with sustained external growth, while paying particular attention to the firm’s senior lawyers. From this point of view, it’s a real success and, in addition to Cyprien’s widely proven and recognized skills, BCTG has acquired a decisive new asset”, says partner Augustin Nicolle.
