Séverin Kullmann, the partner who heads the M&A/Private Equity department, and Alexandra Carpentier, an associate, assisted the Minafin group, a major international player in the fine chemicals industry, in negotiating a €130 million syndicated loan to refinance a portion of its debt and support its growth.
Minafin is an international group that has done business in the field of fine chemicals and related services since 2004. The Group specialises in developing industrial processes and green chemistry, and manufactures active ingredients and intermediates for the life sciences and high-tech industries. Due to its wide range of know-how and proprietary technologies, Minafin has become a leading chemicals company in each of its markets. In 2020, the Group generated consolidated revenue of €240 million, up 10% relative to 2019.
This refinancing will enable Minafin to take advantage of the current highly favourable conditions of the debt market and to extend the maturity of its financing, as well as to diversify its sources of funding, including a private placement tranche subscribed by leading institutional investors alongside the Group’s historical banks. This transaction provides Minafin with the resources to achieve its goals of accelerating the growth of its businesses and supporting its international development.
