BCTG Avocats assists EDF Renouvelables in signing its first 20-year renewable power purchase agreement with SNCF

EDF Renouvelables, a leading player in renewable energies, has signed its first renewable power purchase agreement (Green Corporate Power Purchase Agreement) with SNCF Energie, a subsidiary of the SNCF Group, to provide additional capacity over a 20-year period. This contract covers power production by a 20 MW solar plant, the construction of which will begin in the coming months.

This “Green Corporate PPA” enables the consumer company to obtain supply directly from a purpose-built solar plant and thus promote the construction of additional production capacity at a price established in advance over the medium or long term.

This transaction, carried out by EDF Renouvelables, a subsidiary of the EDF Group, contributes to the Group’s goal of developing renewable energies.

BCTG Avocats’ Energy department, which assisted EDF Renouvelables in completing this transaction, was headed by Catherine Dupuy Burin des Roziers, a partner.

SNCF Energie was advised by Philippe Jacques, a partner of LPA-CGR Avocats.
