Paris, 2 June 2023. BCTG avocats is continuing to expand and strengthen its Employment Law practice, led by Sabine de Paillerets, with the addition of a second partner, a counsel and three associates.
The growing demands of its clients are prompting the firm to add new talent, while continuing to focus on the cross-functional and complementary nature of its practices in order to support its clients as closely as possible to their operational needs.
With over twenty years’ experience of working with major groups, both national and international, Meï Zhang’s practice is particularly focused on labour relations and the monitoring of structuring and sensitive operations. She works with her clients on issues relating to employment protection plans, restructuring and reorganisation, national or transnational mergers and transfers of undertakings for industrial clients (metallurgy, plastics and textiles). She also has a good knowledge of several of the firm’s leading sectors, including health (chemicals, pharmaceuticals). Her consultancy work with HR directors and senior executives has given her undeniable expertise in mediation.
“Meï reinforces the firm’s recognised expertise in restructuring, reorganisation and redundancy plans, particularly in the industrial sector. His presence will be a major asset for our clients, who are counting on the firm to provide them with a full-service experience in France and abroad.
At the same time, the arrival of Mathilde Paquelier as counsel will enhance the synergies that already exist between the firm’s different practices. A generalist in employment law, Mathilde works with institutional clients and start-ups on both complex transactions (acquisitions, restructurings, individual and collective redundancies) and day-to-day issues. With her cross-disciplinary experience, she will be a key point of contact for clients, providing support for the employment team.
“Mathilde’s arrival will enable us to multiply the points of contact with our clients, who will benefit from a multi-faceted and dynamic vision. The role of counsellor is decisive, as it is intended to provide a solid and reliable link with our customers”, explains Sabine de Paillerets. “We are delighted to be able to continue integrating young talent with a view to sharing knowledge.
BCTG’s employment law department now comprises 2 partners, 1 counsel and 7 associates.
